It's funny how I get excited over the little things -- like how I can't wait to have a regular paycheck again so I can afford little things like new shoes. I've been wearing my old tennies a lot lately, especially because I don't want to wear nice shoes in the snow/ice. That also means they're no longer in great shape for working out.
The last time I bought good shoes was in 2005 -- and they're only supposed to last 6-12 months, or through the first 350 miles. I've been running/cycling/stepping in these babies for way too long. I was even embarrassed by how they looked going through the x-ray scanner at the airport last weekend.
Maybe I'm just adding this as another excuse for not wanting to workout lately, but ... after running, my left foot seems to hurt. Needing replacement shoes is probably one of my problems...
maybe I should add shoes to my birthday wish list -- or visit the running store asap to charge a new pair, or just go back to yoga (which for one month actually costs the same as a new pair of shoes -- darn!)

When I start to have foot/knee/hip pain, I totally know it's time for new running shoes! I'd be will to bet that your foot pain is partially caused by the shoes. I hate buying new shoes though...especially when I was in college - and even now, I'm just cheap! :)
