Recent Embarassing Moment

--For the story I promised above; I was so sick in GR during Christmas, near the end of the week I realized I needed to go to the bank and deposit a Christmas check so I could pay a bill that weekend.

I ran inside the bank (instead of the ATM) because I wanted to say hi to a friend who worked there and I knew she wouldn't care that I looked like hell - plus I planned to explain why it was 4:55 on a Fri night and I hadn't showered in 2 days. She wasn't at work - and I was stuck waiting in line to make my deposit. I was wearing my PJs (a tshirt and workout/sweat pants). I had my glasses on, my hair was disheveled, I had just woke up from a four hour nap on the couch, etc.

In front of me was this boy I knew from high school and hadn't seen for 10+ years. At first I didn't know it was him, but he was looking at me like he recognized me. When I finally recognized him and realized he had noticed me I looked away and tried to shield myself from view. (Not very obvious, right? Only three customers and three bank employees). Well, I just hoped he hadn't seen me... End of story?

NOPE - last week my friends mom told me how she had talked to him a few weeks ago, he told her: "Oh I think I saw Dani in the bank..." Ahh - how mortifying. Luckily, she explained that I don't live in town anymore and that he must have been mistaken -- that it couldn't have been me. Safe for now - until I run into him at home again and finally get to explain that I don't usually look that bad, I just hope its not before he tells more of our classmates at our class reunion how the last 10 years have NOT been kind to me in the looks dept.

LESSON: Don't go to the bank looking like sh*t - you never know who you may run into... (Stacy and Clinton from TLC's What Not to Wear wouldn't approve!!!)
