Debbie Downer

In an effort to avoid being "Debbie Downer" - I'm vowing to try and make this blog more 'happy.'

I shared my blog with a friend today -- but when she asked what I write about and whether its sad/depressing, I wasn't really sure what to say. I know that I hold in a lot of my negative feelings - and then I use this blog to vent out a lot of my complaints or frustrations. But - I hope they're not the point of being 'downers.'

I enjoy this sort of expression - its better than a private journal, which I never find time to write in anymore, but it still archives my feelings so I can look back and reflect on the past. But, at least with this blog I can even post during class (bad-habit - YES.).

Since this is sort of a journal/diary - I maybe sometimes get too personal, but really, I'm trying to hold back, except the post about my grandma - which still makes me sad, although she told me a couple days ago that she's feeling a lot better. For the most part though, I just write a lot of random stuff.

Plus, its nice to keep in touch with friends on a regular basis w/ comments. Blogging is more personal, but less weird, than mass e-mails can be. Plus - I like it when I stumble upon another friend who likes to blog - or who I can convince to start one up (Amie - Britt?) BTW: thanks for the comment Shyla - I just discovered your great blog today.
