All I can say, is I'm exhausted. And - like every other finals period I've gone through, my body is so worn down that I caught another cold *insert sniffle here* despite drinking a gazillion Emergen-C mixes and ingesting a whole bottle of vitamin Bs, plus this yummy find: Blueberry B Monster. (Not to mention - I've almost completely traded in my latte-habit for green tea).
I haven't done much in the last two days except
- sleep until 10am everyday - it feels awesome and awful at the same time
- workout Mon. = cycling; Tues. = 30 min run; Today = 30 min run + 15 min ab class + 55 min pump class (Yay for me!)
- catch up with some old friends I called some long-lost friends on Mon. and we made plans ASAP - they both had babies 6-9 mo ago and I hadn't seen EITHER baby yet (Gesh, I'm slacker friend, eh?) But, FINALLY, I saw them... they're sooo cuute. They've convinced me motherhood is the way to go - but I didn't need much convincing, I'm just waiting for a wedding first. We're going to try and meet up once/month to actually spend quality time hanging out.
- BTW: one my bff's had baby no. 2 on Mon. too - Welcome Weston, Congrats Amie!!! I can't wait to meet him.)
- shop I was returning some shoes at the malls and was sidetracked by some supercute Bermuda shorts - perfect BBQ attire for all the BBQs/parties and outside activities this weekend (retail therapy problem? YES!)
- clean... yes... I've been manically cleaning today in preparation for visitors over the weekend. And, while I hate scrubbing the toilet (or scrubbing anything for that matter) -- I'm proud to walk into the bathroom and kitchen and see every surface shining.
- I also did laundry, but I decided to take a break and blog before putting away my clothes and remaking the bed (my legs needed a rest from the 150 lunges the drill-sergeant/pump-teacher made me do today).
- I took the garbage out, emptied my recycle bin, cleaned the dishes, and more...
Finally, I've noticed that I appreciate free-time so much more now that I ever used to -- I'm definitely ready to find time for things that I actually ENJOY, but have been deprived of for months... or even years (actually, I enjoy pretty much anything that does NOT include reading hours and hours of public lands cases and Forest Service regulations)
- I picked up the guitar this week - it was sad to realize that I couldn't remember how to play Fur Elise, or which strings were which notes, but I'm excited to try re-learn them.
- I've updated my iPod with my "right now favorites," incl: Bob Marley Three Little Birds Paramore Misery Business and Augustana Sweet and Low
- I need a trip to the library SO BAD - I need to get my fix of trashy-romance novels (as many as I can) before my bar-exam classes start. (ugh! for the love of God, will it ever end???) At the top of my list is Chelsea's new book, but it was already checked out in Boulder. So I have to either (a) buy it; or (b) put my name on the hold-list and wait for its return -- or (c) frantically email the librarian until she purchases more copies of this bestseller.
- I'm also open to suggestions for any juicy reads?!
- two words (or one) SCRAP-BoOKiNG, I'm still on my college album, (eww... that was 5 years ago already).
- And, I've been fighting with my TIVO - which refuses to update and I'll can see is "To be announced" on every single-f*n channel, ugh! (this does not qualify as a 'thing I enjoy' - but just a 'to-do')

CONGRATS!!! Have fun at grad and good luck with bar prep classes :)
Dang girl! You've been BUSY!! I hope you can get some rest and feel better for your graduation and family in town. And keep making time for yourself now. I remember thinking when I quit working I was going to work on all these hobbies: scrapbooking, sewing, cooking, baking, and I hardly have time to do any of them now. So, do them!
Yeay for you!!! :) Have fun with graduation this weekend! Can't wait to see you at the reunion! :)
So glad you've got some "Me" time finally Danielle! Congrats on making it through! I remember when you first started thinking about going back to school...and look at you now! You did it!!! Congratulations!
