on hiatus

dearest peeps,

i shall depart for a week or two, first and foremost to take the damned-bleeping bar exam.

at this moment, i regret spending entirely too much time online - reading blogs, chatting on facebook, google searches - when i should have been memorizing legal elements of how to use character testimony to impeach a witness and shareholder derivative suits (huh? don't ask me, i still don't know what the hell those means either, but in exactly 5 days i may be expected to write an essay on either or both topics).

it is with sad remorse that i must bid you - and the entire internet in general - a fond farewell so that i can retreat to my sterile hotel room and cram as much as possible into my thick-stubborn-unwilling to learn-unfocused-easily distracted head about the aforementioned topics, along with thousands of other minute and conflicting boring details.

Alas, you're favorite soon-to-be lawyer needs you to keep your fingers-crossed, and is desperately soliciting good thoughts, prayers, wishes, karma, and anything else that my help solidify my future career by obtaining an official license. I am open to phone calls only (a.k.a. encouraging voice messages). i anticipate a nervous-breakdown in the next 96 hours and will spare you the details of my lunacy by not answering the phone.

Post-exam, i am escaping to California to enjoy my summer (or at least the last 8-days of my so-called 'summer') with warm sunshine, the ocean, a book, a beach towel, many mojitos, cute-surfer boys, shopping, pedicures, a taping of Chelsea Lately at the E! studios, and of course, a visit to Cinderella's castle which wouldn't be complete without a ride on pirates of the caribbean (the original, not the movie).

i leave with you with one last legal gem: "a trust will not fail for want of a trustee..." and i will write from the other side when i rejoin society.

until we meet again...

Are you done with the bar yet?? When are you coming to Vegas for another visit? What do we need to do to get you and Brit out here for a reunion?
