I posted about iTrain awhile back -- its a new online fitness/personal training company. They offer awesome audio gym workouts that you can download onto any mp3. I've downloaded two workouts both for the treadmill - but they have circuits, cycling, weight training, and many other options. (They cost about $5 each, some more, some less - but monthly plans and other purchase options are available,)
The first one I bought was 30 minutes long, and was a great short workout. I like to go longer if I can, and on the easy to middle level I felt like I got a good workout, but not like I was spent.
The second one I downloaded was 60 minutes long. It kicked my butt and at times I couldn't even keep up with the lowest level. I've done that one a few times and each time its still super hard and challenging - just what I need/want. The music is great and the motivation of someone telling me what to do mixed with 'you can do it' kind of inspiration (not in the cheesy way) really keeps me excited the whole 60 minutes. I don't find myself staring at the clock wondering how much longer I have left. I also downloaded some new songs that I've found are great for running when I don't want to do something as structured as the iTrain.

I love running to Justin Timberlake...Sexyback is one of my fave songs to run to! A few of my fave bands to run to are Rage Against the Machine, Tool, Korn, Coal Chamber, Drowning Pool, Rise Against, with a peppering of Fergie, JT, The Pussy Cat Dolls, Kanye West, and 50 Cent!
Keep me posted on your progress!! I love the motivation and inspiration of others meeting their goals! :) We should try to run in a 5K or something together sometime in the future...vague, I know...but we should try to plan something.
Well, on a sad note, I have given up my short affair with running...at least for the time being. I had been running the trail at Sunset Park at night in the dark and just recently they announced that they found a body there!!! Oh my gosh, Danielle, it totally freaked me out! They found her at the back side of the trail! I guess I need to learn how to run on a treadmill and not be afraid of falling off anymore! Uggggh.
YIKES! That is scary. Please be careful and switch to indoor running (at least in the dark!)
Maybe you need yoga? (I do -- especially since i feel like a hypocrite cause I haven't been forEVER!)
Yoga would definitely do me some good!
