Almost Famous

Today I met someone semi-famous and it was such a thrill (yes, I'm a dork...).

I've been doing a lot of research and writing on technology and the law (privacy on the internet, etc.) for the law journal I'm on, and we're required to write a year-long paper.

Since August/Sept I've been reading tons of articles from this one law professor, Professor Kerr, and his work has really inspired most of my paper. He works at George Washington Law and is a leading scholar in this field. (He also contributes to this blog: http://volokh.com/ ). Today I got to see him in person and hear him speak at a conference. Its not the same as say meeting NKOTB would have been in 1990, but still, its odd to finally meet a pseudo-celebrity. He's not what I expected (and he was a speaker for 'the federalist society') but I'm still excited to read his next published article.... and see where my paper develops next.
