more snow . . . and snow tires

Hot cocoa in hand already . . .

to brace for the 12-20 inches of snow predicted over night. After driving home (1.5 hours and I had to brush off my car twice), I believe it. So glad its warm inside; that my fingers dethawed from shoveling; and that we have power so I can cozy under the heating blanket. (What can I say; something's wrong with the fireplace, so its the next best thing). Plus, I made yummy tacos with lots of veggies (and substituted half of the ground turkey with shredded tempeh and nobody even complained/noticed).

I'm making a prediction that I won't be able to get off my street tomorrow to go to work. Especially because I need to buy some new tires. My car isn't even at 30,000 miles yet -- and my tires are shot, and especially dangerous in the snow. Its the only major gripe I've had about my baby Nissan since I bought it (aside from the awful salesman and the story of "the purchase" - but that's a story I don't want to reminisce).

I just wish I could shell out the $500 necessary for the tires and I'd go tomorrow . . . or, as soon as I can drive up my street.
