Its a brand new year. "2008" still sounds like the sci-fi era and I'm astounded to think back to my childhood. I remember when "Back to the Future 2" premiered and that was my idea of the 'future.' Luckily, real life today is better than the movie predicted.
January inevitably brings pressure to create new years resolutions. I don't believe in resolutions, but I do believe in setting personal goals, and this is the perfect time for that.
* Starting with this blog, I will take more time to cherish the moments of my life and find more time to spend doing what I love and less time worrying about school and unimportant tasks.
* I'm starting my final semester of law school. This is a huge accomplishment for me, but it doesn't end there. Together with graduation, I also need to secure a job and pass the bar exam.
* I have had really poor spending habits and have found myself in a great amount of credit card debt, which combined with my student loans are enough to make anybody stop breathing. But, after graduation I should have a six-month grace period before repayment on those loans begins. In that time, I want to pay off my 'bad' debt and save a significant amount for a new vehicle by Dec. 08.
* I'd like to make a goal to 'lose weight' but its too much like a resolution and too unrealistic. Instead, I want to rediscover what I like best about exercising to help motivate me to get outside and move more. I also want to spend more time doing yoga... and vow to go at 6 am so that I can start each day happy.
I hope you all have set some personal goals and I wish you much motivation and success.

Love the goals you've set for yourself!
I think I've decided I need to work on letting go of some of the fears I've accumulated over the years. I am still tying to figure out how to turn this into a workable goal though.
